Pam's Potters Bar Community Music School is up and running!

Pamela Moutoussi is delighted to announce the resumption of the Potters Bar Community Music School. The school has been going a couple of years and has managed to survived COVID. We have lots of ensembles for all ages and abilities.

Potters Bar Community Music School (PBCMS) is based at Mount Grace school on Saturday mornings, 8:30 to 11:30 in term time. We give termly concerts in the main Hall of the school which are open to the public. PBCMS staff are local, experienced teachers and performers who are fully qualified and DBS checked. Instrumental staff were typically trained at the main London conservertoires (such as The Royal College of Music, Royal Academy of Music, etc.) and perform with professional orchestras and choirs. Our senior staff have taught pupils right from their first lessons, past grade 8 right up to entering Music College or University.

Rehearsals run on Saturday mornings.

Super Strings 8:55am – 9:40am.
Approx. Grades 1-3

Amber Strings 8:55am – 9:40am.
Approx. Grades 3-5

Phoenix Strings 9:45am-10:30am.
Approx. Grades 5-8+

Da Capo Orchestra 10:35am – 11:15am.
Ages 18+ All Levels Welcome

Wind Band 10:35am – 11:05am.
Approx. Grades 2-5

Chamber Groups run from 8:30 to 11:30
Experienced players on invitation

A concert is held at the end of each term: Christmas, Easter, and Summer. The center is not open during holidays or half terms.

Concert dress code: White tops, black trousers and skirts, clean shoes (no trainers). Gentlemen’s is black tie and djs, and ladies can wear all black.
